Multifamily General Contractor for Seattle Developers
We specialize in ground-up multifamily construction, mixed-use development, and affordable housing across King County and Pierce County. Our vertically integrated model means you get a general contractor who also understands the development side, from pro forma to certificate of occupancy.
Multifamily Housing
Market-rate and affordable apartment buildings from 20 to 200+ units. Wood-frame and podium construction. We handle permitting coordination, subcontractor management, and owner's rep communication.
Mixed-Use Development
Ground-floor retail with residential above. We build projects that pencil for developers and work for communities, with experience in Seattle's design review and MHA requirements.
Affordable Housing
Deep experience with LIHTC, NHTF, HOME, and Housing Trust Fund compliance. We know the reporting requirements, Davis-Bacon wage standards, and funding source layering that make 30 to 50% AMI projects work.
Adaptive Reuse
Converting commercial and industrial buildings to residential. Our team navigates Seattle's historic preservation standards and change-of-use permitting.
Built in Seattle. Proven at Scale.
A General Contractor That Thinks Like a Developer
Most GCs build what you tell them. We understand why you are building it, because we develop our own projects too. That perspective changes everything from value engineering to schedule management.
Vertically Integrated
Developer + GC under one umbrella eliminates the adversarial dynamic. We protect the pro forma because our nonprofit depends on it.
WMBE-Certified Contractor
Minority-owned and AANHPI-led. Choosing us helps developers meet WMBE inclusion goals on public projects and publicly funded housing. Certification in progress through OMWBE.
Affordable Housing Expertise
We know the compliance landscape: Davis-Bacon, Section 3, HUD reporting, WSHFC monitoring, and the layered funding sources that affordable projects require.
Mission-Driven Partnership
Every contract we sign is disclosed, board-approved, and independently certified. You are not just hiring a GC. You are funding permanently affordable housing.

Common Questions from Developers
- What does it mean that your GC is affiliated with a nonprofit?
- Jabooda Construction is the affiliated general contractor of Jabooda Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Surplus from construction projects flows back to the nonprofit to fund permanently affordable housing. Every affiliated contract is board-approved, independently certified at fair market value, and disclosed on Form 990.
- Are you a certified WMBE contractor?
- Our WMBE certification through the Washington State Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises is currently in progress. We are minority-owned and led by an AANHPI team with deep roots in Seattle's diverse communities.
- What areas do you serve?
- Greater Seattle metro including King County, Pierce County, and Tacoma. Our projects are concentrated in Rainier Valley, Judkins Park, Capitol Hill, and Tacoma's Lincoln District.
- What size projects do you take on?
- We specialize in multifamily projects from 20 to 200+ units, including ground-up, adaptive reuse, and mixed-use. Our portfolio ranges from $5M to $60M+ in total development value.
- How does pricing compare to non-affiliated GCs?
- Our pricing is independently certified at fair market value for every contract. The difference is that surplus flows to affordable housing instead of private equity. Developers get competitive pricing and a mission-aligned partnership.
- Do you work with public funding sources?
- Yes. We have experience with LIHTC, NHTF, HOME, Housing Trust Fund, King County DCHS, and Commerce-funded projects. We understand compliance requirements, reporting timelines, and the layered funding structures these projects need.
