How We Handle Jabooda Construction Contracts

Jabooda Construction is our affiliated WMBE general contractor. This relationship is what allows us to build at 30 to 50% AMI without breaking the pro forma. Every affiliated contract follows a four-step approval process:

01

Board Disclosure

All interested parties file annual conflict of interest disclosures identifying the affiliated relationship.

02

Recusal

Board members with conflicts recuse themselves from discussion and vote on affiliated contracts.

03

Independent Certification

Contract terms are independently reviewed and certified as fair market value by a qualified third party.

04

990 Disclosure

All affiliated transactions are disclosed on Form 990, Schedule L, available to the public.
