CRA Eligibility Statement

Jabooda Cares qualifies for CRA consideration under the Community Development Investment category. We are a CHDO-designated 501(c)(3) developing affordable housing in LMI census tracts within King County, Washington. Grants, equity investments, and construction financing through Jabooda Cares generate CRA credit for regulated financial institutions under 12 CFR 25.23(a). Our affiliated general contractor, Jabooda Construction, holds OMWBE state WMBE certification, enabling the Jabooda team to deliver on both the community mission and the construction capacity needed to reach lower AMI levels.

Community & Capacity Grants
$25K – $150K  ·  Org-level  ·  No project attachment

Grants to Jabooda Cares as an organization. Funds predevelopment costs, staffing, technical assistance, and community engagement. No project underwriting required.

Project Investment & Equity

LIHTC equity investment, FHLB AHP sponsorship, or predevelopment investment tied to a specific project. Deal-level underwriting required. Longer timeline but significantly higher CRA credit value. LIHTC nonprofit basis boost applies — your deal prices better with us than with a for-profit developer.

HUD-designated CHDO status enables Jabooda Cares to receive HOME Investment Partnership funds and NHTF allocations. Designates us as a mission-driven affordable housing developer with the capacity to develop, own, and manage housing.

Due Diligence Package

We provide a complete CRA documentation package: 501(c)(3) determination letter, CHDO designation, Jabooda Construction WMBE certification, audited financials, project pro formas, census tract confirmation, and board-approved conflict of interest policy.

Step 03
Grant or Investment

Capacity grants ($25K–$150K), project-specific grants, equity investments in LIHTC deals, or construction financing. We work with your CRA officer to structure the relationship for maximum credit value and mission impact. FHLB AHP sponsorship available through member banks.
